We offer FREE HIRE of our function area The Priory is our dedicated private function room in Newcastle, located behind the main bar.
The Priory is perfect for birthday parties, hen’s parties, work and corporate functions, fundraisers, Christmas or engagement parties.
We can host functions from between 30-70 guests in The Priory. We charge a $200 holding deposit, which is fully refundable towards purchases on the night of your function

You sure can, (in back function area only) just need to bring a phone or laptop with an audio jack and we can plug it in our system, so you can rock out to your own jams all night!
IS THERE A MINIMUM SPEND? Yes, we have a minimum spend of $400 on function food and require a minimum of 30ppl to book The Priory.
DO I HAVE TO ORDER FUNCTION PLATTERS?
Yes, we do require a minimum spend of $400 on function food.
DO I NEED TO PAY A DEPOSIT?
Yes, we take a $200 deposit for any function. Deposit fully refunded towards your function food options.
CAN I START A BAR TAB FOR MY FUNCTION?
You sure can, we can start a bar tab to any amount.
DO YOU HAVE DRINKS PACKAGES?
Not currently, it is order as you go.
CAN I DECORATE THE AREA?
You sure can, make it your own space! As long as there is no permanent marks, go for it!
CAN I BRING MY OWN CAKE OR FOOD?
We do allow birthday cakes and can store them in our cool room. We do not charge Cakeage. No other outside food is permitted.
IF I CANCEL, CAN I HAVE MY DEPOSIT REFUNDED?
Yes if given at least 3 weeks notice.
CAN I BRING CHILDREN?
You sure can, we have no restrictions on children provided their is adult supervision.
IS THERE AIR CONDITIONING?
Yes, the area is fully air conditioned.
Is there really no hire fee?
Yes — our function room is completely free to hire. You simply organise minimum spend of $400 on food to suit your event.
DO YOU ACCEPT BOOKINGS FOR 18TH BIRTHDAY PARTIES?
Unfortunately, no - we don't currently take bookings specifically for 18th birthdays.
